Tom Moore: Abundant Wonder Exhibition opens at JamFactory Seppeltsfield, Barossa Valley.

The exhibition that was initially presented at the JamFactory Gallery last year has been reconfigured and installed at the JamFactory satellite gallery at Seppeltsfield in the Barossa Valley.  The slightly smaller space may actually add to the intended immersive experience.  Walking into the show it is possible to get a sense that one has been shrunk down to wander among a chaotic array of giant toy blocks and rooms within rooms.

It is a delight to see how the show has transformed itself to sit within its new boundaries.  A benefit of this space is that one can go up on the viewing platform and see the works from above as people weave through a maze of blocks, discovering strange islands of evolving glass creatures interspersed with the complex and compelling animations.

As with the initial venue, the exhibition includes a drawing competition for children aged 5-12.  Children are encouraged to draw a design for a glass object that will be judged on it’s charm, originality and make-ability.  The winning design will be twice made by Tom.  The winning child will be awarded one of these glass objects and the other will become a part of the exhibition as it continues its tour until 2023.  The winning of the JamFactory Adelaide competition is Nico, with this fabulous creature.

The show is on from Feb 5th – 25th April, open 11am-5pm daily at 730 Seppeltsfield Road, Seppeltsfield, SA, 5355.

Tom Moore:Abundant Wonder books and colouring books are available along with a limited selection of paperweights.
